Two Amazon-sold pool drain covers are under separate CPSC recalls because they can create entrapment and drowning hazards. Pool owners, pool operators and consumers should stop using pools with the recalled Broqixin or Crenlux covers and contact the listed sellers for a refund.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced both recalls on June 4, 2026. The notices cover about 570 total drain covers sold on Amazon.com across the two brands.
The recalls involve Broqixin and Crenlux pool drain covers sold online at Amazon.com. CPSC did not list UPCs or lot codes in either notice, so buyers should check the brand, packaging, product description, sales window and Amazon order history.
CPSC said both recalled drain covers violate entrapment-protection standards under the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act, known as VGBA. The agency said the recalled covers pose deadly entrapment and drowning hazards to swimmers and bathers.
Pool drain covers are intended to reduce the risk that a swimmer can become trapped by suction at a drain. CPSC guidance says public pools and spas must use anti-entrapment drain covers that comply with federal requirements.
The agency also told consumers in the Broqixin notice to ensure all pools and spas have VGBA-compliant drain covers and to teach children to stay away from drains.
CPSC said pool owners, operators and consumers should stop using pools with the recalled Broqixin drain covers immediately.
Broqixin is offering a full refund. Consumers are asked to remove the drain cover, write “Recalled” on the removed cover with a permanent marker and send a photo of the marked cover to broqixinrecall@outlook.com.

Anyone unsure whether a cover is affected should compare it with the CPSC product description and check Amazon purchase records for the brand and sales period.
CPSC’s recall notices said no incidents or injuries had been reported for either the Broqixin or Crenlux drain covers.
That does not mean the products are safe to keep using. The recalls are based on CPSC’s finding that the drain covers violate federal entrapment-protection standards and can create a drowning hazard.
The CPSC notices reviewed did not list UPCs, lot codes or separate public company recall pages. They also did not say Amazon would contact buyers directly.
Pool owners should check their Amazon order history, packaging and stored product information. If the recalled cover is installed, the pool should remain out of use until the cover has been removed and replaced with a VGBA-compliant drain cover.
