Bada Boom Fireworks recalled about 1,060 Pyro Diablo “Diablo Rising” 9-shot fireworks because the CPSC said they exceed a federal pyrotechnic composition limit. Consumers should stop using them and contact the company for a full refund.

Bada Boom Fireworks is recalling about 1,060 Pyro Diablo “Diablo Rising” 9-shot fireworks because the Consumer Product Safety Commission says they can explode with more force than expected. Anyone who has the recalled fireworks should stop using them and contact Bada Boom for a full refund.
The CPSC recall notice is dated June 18, 2026, and lists the remedy as a refund. No incidents or injuries were reported in the notice.
The recall covers Pyro Diablo branded “Diablo Rising” 9 Shots fireworks devices. The CPSC identified the recalled model as PD-C5001.
The package shows an orange dragon on a blue and purple background. The brand name, product name, item number and warning labels appear on the top and front of the package.
The CPSC notice did not list a UPC or lot code. Consumers should use the product name, model number and package design to identify the recalled fireworks, and contact Bada Boom if they are unsure.
The CPSC said the fireworks violate a federal ban for certain aerial fireworks devices intended to produce audible effects. The agency said the pyrotechnic composition exceeds the federal limit.
That matters because an overloaded firework can produce a larger explosion than a consumer expects. The recall notice describes the risk as an explosion and burn hazard, with potential for serious injury or death.
The recall is specific to the Diablo Rising 9 Shots device identified in the CPSC notice. The agency did not describe the recall as applying to every Pyro Diablo product or every firework sold by Bada Boom.
The recalled fireworks were sold at Bada Boom Fireworks locations in Pennsylvania from March 2026 through May 2026 for about $45, according to the CPSC.
Bada Boom Fireworks of Blakeslee, Pennsylvania, is listed as the importer. The recalled fireworks were manufactured in China.
Consumers should stop using the recalled fireworks immediately. The official remedy is a full refund through Bada Boom Fireworks.
The CPSC says consumers will be asked to return the fireworks device to Bada Boom Fireworks retail locations. Because the product is an explosive consumer firework, consumers should follow Bada Boom’s return instructions rather than trying to use the item.
Bada Boom can be reached at 570-646-9029 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday. The CPSC also lists badaboomfireworks@yahoo.com and Bada Boom’s Diablo Rising recall page as contact options.

About 2,200 BABESIDE Doll and Stroller Toys sold on Amazon are recalled because the toy pacifier and plush bear can pose choking hazards, the CPSC says. Consumers should take those accessories away from children and contact HYBDOLLS for free replacements.

Joolz and CPSC recalled Aer2 car seat adapter sets because they can fail to attach to the stroller and allow a car seat to fall. Owners should stop using adapters with an NL311 product identifier and register to return the set for a full refund.
People who bought Pyro Diablo fireworks from Bada Boom during the March-to-May sales window should check the package before lighting anything from the purchase. The model number and package art are the most specific identifiers in the official notice.
If the package matches the recalled product but a model number is not easy to find, the safest next step is to contact Bada Boom before using it. The CPSC’s instruction is to stop using the recalled device immediately.
The recall notice does not identify any reported injuries or incidents. It also does not list a UPC, lot number or expanded retailer list beyond Bada Boom Fireworks locations in Pennsylvania.
The notice does not say whether Bada Boom will offer mail, pickup or other return options for consumers who cannot easily visit a retail location. The posted remedy is a full refund after contacting the company and returning the device as instructed.
This article will be updated if the CPSC or Bada Boom Fireworks adds product identifiers, changes the refund process, lists additional sales locations or reports any incidents tied to the recall.
