The Knicks beat the Spurs 105-104 in Game 2 of the NBA Finals and lead the series 2-0. Game 3 moves to New York on Monday night.

The Knicks beat the Spurs 105-104 in Game 2 of the NBA Finals on Friday night, giving New York a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. Game 3 is scheduled for Monday, June 8, at 8:30 p.m. ET in New York.
New York 105, San Antonio 104.
The game turned in the final seconds after San Antonio had erased a 14-point fourth-quarter deficit. NBA.com reported that Jalen Brunson hit the go-ahead free throw with 9.5 seconds left after a Victor Wembanyama turnover, and Wembanyama missed a jumper at the buzzer.
New York led 56-52 at halftime and 84-75 entering the fourth. The Spurs surged late, briefly taking a 104-102 lead before Brunson tied the game with a jumper and then put the Knicks ahead at the line.
The Knicks took both games in San Antonio after opening the series with a 105-95 win in Game 1. They are now two wins from their first NBA championship since 1973.
Karl-Anthony Towns led New York in Game 2 with 21 points and 13 rebounds, while Brunson and Mikal Bridges each scored 20. Wembanyama had 29 points and nine rebounds for San Antonio, and De’Aaron Fox scored 20, according to AP.
The series is not over, but the burden shifts sharply to the Spurs. San Antonio needs a road response after losing the first two games at home.
Game 3 moves to Madison Square Garden on Monday. NBA.com lists the matchup as San Antonio at New York, with tipoff at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC and ESPN.
Game 4 is also scheduled for New York on Wednesday, June 10, at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC. A Knicks win in Game 3 would put New York one victory from the title, while a Spurs win would cut the series to 2-1 and guarantee at least a Game 5 in San Antonio.
The main question is whether San Antonio can slow New York late in games. The Spurs had chances in both Finals games at home, but the Knicks closed stronger each time.
The next update should come when the league posts any lineup or injury changes before Game 3, or after Monday night’s final score.
