National Rail is listing live disruption on several routes in England, including services around Manchester, Chislehurst, Peterborough and Tulse Hill. Passengers should check National Rail and operator updates before travelling.

National Rail is listing several live disruption notices this evening, with delays affecting routes around Manchester Victoria, Chislehurst, Peterborough, Stevenage and Tulse Hill. Passengers should check their exact train before leaving, because some lines have reopened but services are still recovering.
National Rail’s status page listed disruption and timetable changes for operators on Wednesday 10 June. The main active notices checked included:
Manchester Victoria / Salford Central: Northern and TransPennine Express services are affected by a fault on a train, with some lines blocked. Trains may be delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised, and disruption is expected until 7.15pm.
Chislehurst: Southeastern services running to and from London Charing Cross via routes including Ramsgate, Dover Priory, Canterbury West, Ashford International, Hastings, Maidstone East, Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks and Orpington may be delayed or revised after a road vehicle struck a bridge. Disruption is expected until 7.15pm.
Stevenage to Peterborough: Grand Central, Hull Trains, LNER and Lumo services may still be delayed by up to 30 minutes, revised or cancelled after an earlier incident involving emergency services. Lines have reopened, but recovery disruption is expected until 7pm.
Peterborough to Ely: CrossCountry, East Midlands Railway and Greater Anglia services may be delayed by up to 30 minutes, cancelled or revised after a broken-down train at Whittlesea. Lines have reopened, with disruption expected until 7pm.
Tulse Hill: Southern and Thameslink services through Tulse Hill may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised while the timetable recovers after a road vehicle struck a bridge. National Rail’s incident page expected disruption until 6.30pm.
Shipley to Guiseley: National Rail said the incident had cleared after a safety inspection of the track and that trains were able to run as scheduled.
Check the National Rail journey planner, your train operator’s app or website, station boards and live departure screens before setting off. A route being reopened does not always mean individual services are back to time.
If your train is cancelled or heavily delayed, follow the ticket acceptance advice for your own operator. Do not assume another train company, bus, tram or London Underground route will accept your ticket unless the operator has said so.
At Manchester Victoria, National Rail listed alternative travel advice involving Metrolink and rail operators for some affected passengers. On the East Coast Main Line, LNER advice said some tickets dated Wednesday 10 June could be used on another LNER service up to and including Thursday 11 June, with a new seat reservation recommended.
The affected operators listed across the live notices include Northern, TransPennine Express, Southeastern, Grand Central, Hull Trains, LNER, Lumo, CrossCountry, East Midlands Railway, Greater Anglia, Southern and Thameslink.
Passengers should check the operator running their train as well as National Rail. Operator pages may include extra details on ticket acceptance, replacement transport, live maps, station advice and compensation claims.
Expected end times are estimates. They can move if railway repairs, safety checks, traincrew displacement or late-running services take longer to recover.
Some disruption notices are now recovery notices rather than full closures. That means passengers may still see cancelled, revised or delayed trains even where lines have reopened.
National Rail says passengers may be entitled to compensation if they are delayed completing their journey. Keep your ticket and make a note of the journey details before making a claim through the relevant train operator.
The next useful check is whether the Manchester Victoria, Chislehurst, Stevenage–Peterborough, Peterborough–Ely and Tulse Hill notices are cleared or extended.
